If you travel on the inexpensive expressway from Pisa or Livorno, expresssway Fi-Pi-Li  

• When the expressway finishes, just proceed into the long alley Viale Etruria, till its end (more than 1 km).
• Drive along the underground way and get back up in the Viale Talenti, a very busy alley, interrupted by a roundabout and by a traffic light just in Piazza Batoni.
• Keep driving in the Via del Sansovino till its end, than make the right turn into the narrow Via del Pignoncino, at the traffic light go straight ahead in Via della Casa.
• Turn left in Via Pisana and drive on the right side, you’ll need very quickly to drive around a garden area in the Piazza Pier Vettori from its right side. Drive 180° around the piazza and go into Via Pisana untill you get to the ancient Porta S.Frediano.
• Pass under the arch of the Porta S.Frediano, drive along the Borgo S.Frediano street, pass the Piazza dei Nerli, keep driving in the second half of the Borgo S.Frediano street.
• At its traffic light turn left towards the river side it’s called Piazza N. Sauro, make a right turn in the Lungarno Guicciardini, go left up the bridge Ponte S.Trinita, continue straight in Via Tornabuoni till the
  traffic light.

Now a critical drive begins into Florence’s city centre: drive slowly, make sure you get the right turnings:

• Pass the traffic light, go straight into Piazza Antinori, then make a right turn in the little street on your right side - just after the bus stop in the very narrow street - called “Via degli Agli”.
  (mind that if the bus is stopped in front of you,you should wait until it drives away and then drive on the right side of the San Gaetano Church in via degli Agli).
• At the STOP sign go straight in front of you and enter the pedestrian zone in Via dei Pecori – drive slowly, you can see the Duomo in front of you, turn right into the second street on your right Via Roma, keep driving straight in front of you, turn the second left street in Via degli Speziali, than again second left.
• You are now on Via dei Calzaiuoli. Get closet to the left side of the street, just stop your car at the door entrance of the hotel: a wooden old door at number 11, immediately after the Disney Store.
